Marianne Richter-Menger offers private violin and viola lessons. All lessons take place in her studio in Lionville, PA or via Skype or Zoom.
Typically, students take one lesson per week ranging from 30 mins. to 1 hour in length depending on the age and skillset of the student.
Often students ask Marianne about "the right instrument" for them. Marianne measures each student and recommends the appropriate instrument size (YES, violins and violas do come in different sizes!). Depending on the personal situation of each student she recommends to rent or to purchase instruments.
Once a year, typically in spring, Marinne organizes a recital where all her students can present their music skills to family and friends.
Some students will perform solo just by themselves, some choose to be accompanied by an pianist (arranged by Marianne), and some students will play as part of a chamber music ensemble.
In any case, the recital is a great opportunity for the musicians to show off their skills and have fun!
On demand, Marianne offeres chamber music sessions during which the student has the opportunity to play with other students or with members of Marianne's own family (who between the four of them play violin, viola, cello, piano, french horn, and recorder).
